'The Game' TV Show: Could Melanie & Derwin Really Return For The Final Season? Co-Star Answers In New VIDEO
The final season of the The Game is in full swing on BET and the cast has revealed whether one of the show’s favorite couples are going to return!
Avid viewers of the show can admit that it just wasn’t the same after Melanie (actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict) and Derwin (Pooch Hall) took what was called their final bow on the show before its sixth season.
Actors Hosea Chanchez (who plays Malik Wright) and Lauren London (Kiera) spoke to Hip Hollywood on reports that Derwin & Melanie could grace the series one last time.
Wendy Racquel Robsinson (a.k.a. Tasha Mack) said never say never.
“There’s always a chance they could come back. Always. I mean, they’re family. They are the matriarch and the patriarch so to speak.”
As for what fans can expect in this season, Lauren London, who plays Kiera, said, “A lot of surprises. There are a lot of things that you’re not gonna expect to see. I think because it is the last season they put everything they could into it.”
London, whose character cheated on her fiancé Blue (actor Jay Ellis) with Malik, shared her real thoughts on infidelity.
“I think cheating is bad altogether. Altogether. It’s bad. I think anytime you betray someone and take advantage of their loyalty, it’s bad. Physical or emotional.”
So what’s in store for Kiera and Blue and the shocking love triangle?
Ellis said, “It’s gonna be one of those situations where all three of them look back and go, ‘Man…As mch as I hated that situation when it happened, I’m glad that it happened. Because it made me see that there’s something bigger, something better. That the right thing is actually out there for me.”
Original cast members Robinson and Coby Bell (who plays Jason Pitts) spoke on the series coming to an end.
Robinson said, “It’s the launching of new beginnings. It’s such an era…Since The CW. It’s so surreal. I really don’t think it’s hit me yet.”
Bell added, “There’s something about the show that people connect with… The fans feel like they’re as much a part of it as we feel.”
