‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Spoilers: Stefan Becoming ‘More Heroic’ In Future Episodes? [VIDEO]
The Vampire Diaries concluded its sixth season on May 14, while leaving many cliffhangers, including Lily (Annie Wersching) dealing with her complicated relationship with her sons Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley).
The Salvatore brothers appear to be in the process of waging a war against their mother since she keeps letting them down, claiming they are not her family and thanks to Kai (Chris Wood) her heretic pals are now in Mystic Falls to unleash hell.
One of the executive producers, Caroline Dries, for the supernatural series recently dished to E! Online that Stefan will embrace his heroism entirely.

Since season 1 of The Vampire Diaries, Wesley's character has always been viewed as a good guy even despite his few missteps of turning off his humanity like seen in the recent season that wrapped airing.
"I'm really excited to see Stefan come into his own and he'll really take to the role of a hero, which will be really cool," Dries revealed, adding, "He's always been a hero but I think in a broader sense he'll become more heroic next season."
Does this mean he'll be saving Mystic Falls from the heretics and his mother? Will he be rescuing his brother from his downward spiral since at the end of season 6 Damon did seem like he lost all control?
The series returns to The CW in the fall for season 7.
