In a recent promo Austin Basis, who plays J.T. in Beauty and the Beast, revealed that his character will be on the quest to solve the mystery behind his survival in season 3.

The recently released clip starts with flashbacks from season 2 showing the fatal attack on J.T. and his near death experience. J.T. miraculously recovered from the injuries, and in season 3 he will be curious about how he made it out alive. In the video he is seen agonizes about this with his partner Tess (Nina Lisandrello). "But you're not dead," she says. "Only because of whatever crazy medicine those DHS agenst gave me and I still can't figure it out," he retorts.

Basis' commentary states that in season 3 J.T. will struggle with questions about how he managed to survive, what did they inject him with, what are the die effects, and why he recovered so quickly.

"I mean let's face it I shouldn't even be here," he is seen telling Tess.

In other recent news related to Basis, director Stuart Gillard unveiled the first behind-the-scenes still from filming of season 4 of Beauty and the Beast featuring Basis and Lissandro via his Twitter account.

Season 3 of Beauty and the Beast will premiere on The CW on June 11 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
