A new report reveals that Lexi Alexander will be directing an episode of season 4 of Arrow.

Alexander, who is best known for her work on Punisher War Zone, is set to helm an episode in the next chapter. Screen Crush sourced Alexander's tweets announcing that she was coming on board. She revealed that show would be directing in August. Alexander also promoted the fact that women should be seen in more directing roles and particularly in the action genre.

In other related news, writing for season 4 has begun. A recent Instagram post straight from the Arrow writers room revealed that work had begun on season 4 of the CW series.

Oliver And Felicity's Relationship To Be Challenged In Season 4?

The team put up images on June 1 and 2 of the schedule for the development of episodes. The first said some form of farewell to the white board which featured the sched for season 3, with each episodes "prep date," "shoot date," and "status/last completeed cut." In the next image, the table was being drawn out for season 4.

In fact even the cast of the show seems to be gearing up for filming the next chapter. Katie Cassidy, who plays Laurel Lance in Arrow, recently posted an image of herself on Instagram, training for season 4.

The announcement of Arrow's renewal for a fourth season was made earlier this month.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
