Power just began its highly anticipated sophomore season on Starz this past Saturday. But it’s still getting compared to the Fox hit that ended its season weeks ago. Naughton opened up about what she really thinks when she hears that Empire and Power are extremely similar.

“I don’t understand the comparisons. We’re in two different worlds,” she told CoCoa Fab on June 4.

“I don’t see how it’s the same. We’re on a cable network and we can do so much more. We’re bilingual, we can be a lot more gritty and we shoot in New York City.”

Still, some viewers and even Power creator 50 Cent couldn’t deny that there are some things that the show has alike. For instance, both are about infamous men who hail from urban communities and have been drug lords at some point in their lives. While Omari Hardwick’s character, Ghost, dominates the club scene in New York City, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) has a huge music entertainment company called Empire.

Both men have ride or die women by their side as well: Naturi Naughton plays Tasha and Taraji P. Henson’s character Cookie has gained record-breaking popularity as well.

Power airs Saturday nights at 9/8c on Starz.
