A new book is said to detail the shocking details of Bobbi Kristina Brown and her mother Whitney Houston’s life as the 22-year-old is still said to be unresponsive nearly five months after being found unconscious.
Famed author Ian Halperin has penned an unofficial biography of the mother/daughter duo and released an excerpt to New York Daily News earlier this week.
While fans became more familiar with Brown, whose father is singer Bobby Brown, had a tough life after Houston died back in 2012, based on the book her struggles began long before then.

Ann Davis, who is a relative of Bobby’s mom, said that Bobbi Kristina checked into a psychiatric hospital just before she turned 15. Davis claimed that Bobbi Kristina attempted to stab Houston before she turned the knife to her own wrists. Houston’s drug problem at the time seemed to be a huge factor in the issues. By the time she and Bobby split after 15 years of marriage, Houston’s relationship with her daughter was already tainted.
Still, Bobbi Kristina went with Houston to rehab in Antigua, ahead of the infamous Being Bobby Brown reality series that premiered about 10 years ago. Things took another dangerous turn after snapshots of Bobbi Kristina doing cocaine went viral online. Apparently a friend sold the infamous pictures. That’s when Bobbi Kristina went to rehab herself. Still, it didn’t seem to stick after Houston went on tour and Bobbi Kristina got close to her now boyfriend Nick Gordon, who had moved into their home when Bobbi Kristina was 15. He was 18 at the time.
This seems to line up with Gordon’s brother’s claims that he made on Entertainment Tonight with Kevin Frazier.
