The doppelganger storyline on The Young and the Restless is getting messier since the real Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been attempting to get back to Genoa City and the fake Jack/Marco (also portrayed by Peter Bergman) knows it!

It seems as though the real Jack is approaching his death, but would the soap really kill off one of the fan favorite characters?

In the sneak peek video below for the episode airing today, June 9, fake Jack is notified via text that he's the highest bidder to get Jack either dead or alive. The text reads: "You win. Marco Annicelli is yours. Wire money today. Do you want your prize dead or alive?"

Will A Star From 'The Young and the Restless' Exit From The Soap In A Shocking Way?

The cargo ship's captain approaches captive Jack to share the news in the clip.

"We have the highest bidder and from the price he's willing to pay he gets to choose if he sees you alive or dead," he reveals.

According to Soaps Jack will want to have chat with the bidder after learning of him, but the captain denies his request.

Meanwhile, Marco's lover is still being held captive with Jack and she still refuses to believe that Jack is Jack and not really her lover Marco.

It's quite a twisted storyline The Young and the Restless has with Jack's doppelganger on the loose in Genoa City.

Marco will even kind of guilt Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) into helping him since Kyle is still unaware that his father isn't really his father. Kyle will be the one to wire the money, which could get his real dad potentially killed.

Marco's lover will use her flirtations to change the captain's mind about killing her once she and Jack learn of the money coming through.

Also, it appears as Avery (Jessica Collins) has disappeared with a struggle found in her home by Summer (Hunter King) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Will this also tie into fake Jack's long list of criminal activities? Time will surely tell!

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
