Lady Gaga Topless on Balcony; Mother Monster Pledges $1M to Sandy Relief
Lady Gaga is usually seen wearing outrageous outfits, but now she's making news for not wearing much of anything.
The performer was photographed on her hotel balcony wearing only bikini bottoms.
According to E!, Gaga was staying at a hotel in Rio de Janeiro when she waved to her fans holding a coconut and a towel. She appeared to have been drinking out of the coconut which was placed strategically to block a more private view of the singer.
The photo shows Gaga smiling, perhaps still celebrating the victories of her supported candidates in the 2012 election.
Lady Gaga tweeted her excitement over the news that Tammy Baldwin was elected in Wisconsin as the first openly gay senator.
"[Congrats] to @TammyBaldwinWI for being elected the first openly gay senator in the HISTORY of The United States. #inspiring #brave #courageous."
The performer also congratulated President Barack Obama for his reelection on Twitter: "I JUST GOT OFF STAGE IN COLUMBIA!! CONGRATULATIONS MR PRESIDENT @BarackObama We are so proud to be American tonight! YES!!!YES!YES!!"
The performer has also contributed to the relief efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy by announcing a major donation on her Little Monsters website.
"Today I pledge 1 million dollars to New York & The American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief. If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today," wrote Gaga on Wednesday. "New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion. Please accept this gift on behalf of myself, my parents Joe and Cynthia, and my sister Natali; with our deepest gratitude New York for raising us."
Gaga concluded, "Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours."
Lady Gaga is currently on tour with the "Born This Way Ball" which will begin its American leg next year in Jan. 13, in Tacoma WA. before wrapping up on March 18 in Miami, Fla.
