'The Fosters' Season 3 Spoilers: What Lies Ahead For Jesus's Future Following The Premiere? [VIDEO]
An answer to that anticipated question on what happened to Jesus on The Fosters has finally been revealed...and it's going to get more interesting from there.
New Character Joins 'The Fosters' As Callie's 'Adorkable' Man?
In the season premiere of the ABC Family drama, everyone was wondering if Jesus was going to die in the car accident that he, his sister and his birth mother were involved in. Considering that Jake T. Austin, who plays the character, announced that he was leaving the show, it would've made sense for his character to be killed off.
But luckily for fans, that's not what happened. Jesus was taken away on a stretcher following the accident, giving the impression that he was dead. But as it turns out, he survived and is now away at boarding school for a wrestling scholarship.

But what's going to happen once boarding school is over? Obviously, he can't stay there forever. So what's next for Jesus when he's done there?
The good news is, he will return. The bad news is, he will look pretty different.
On Monday, TV Guide announced that another actor is going to be cast in the role of Jesus. But there is no word yet on who it will be.
"The announcement [about who it is] will be forthcoming, but right now [Jesus] is at boarding school wrestling to his heart's content and we'll be checking in with him," executive producer Peter Paige revealed. "It'll be a little while [before we see him]."
The Fosters airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
