Taylor Swift's current hit song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," likely does not apply to her last boyfriend Conor Kennedy.

The pair is not only still communicating, but the former couple might attendan up coming event together.

Taylor is confirmed to attend a charity gala next month given by a member of the Kennedy family.

Swift, 22, will be honored at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights' Ripple of Hope Gala. The event will be held at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York City's Times Square area on Dec. 3. It will be hosted by Conor's grandmother Ethel Kennedy, and NBC's "30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Conor's father Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to present. The A-list guests slated to attend includes Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, Matthew Broderick, Mia Farrow and Harry Belafonte.

Conor has not been confirmed to attend due to a conflict with his school schedule, a source told New York Post. He is currently attending Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts.

It was reported on Oct. 25, that the country crooner, known for turning heartbreak into Grammy gold, had broken up with the 18-year-old.

"They quietly parted ways a while ago," Swift's friend told US weekly. "It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine."

The relationship troubles repotertedly stemmed from Swift's hectic work schedule. "It's been over a month since they've even seen each other," the friend further explained. "With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year."

Swift's recently released album, "Red" currently tops the Billboard 200 album chart.

"Red," Swift's fourth studio album landed the No. 1 position after selling 344,000 copies, according to figures from Nielsen SoundScan.

Last week, "Red" scored the highest first week U.S. sales in a decade after selling 1.2 million copies.
