Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Cousin Calls Out 'Disrespectful' Author Of Controversial Book About Whitney Houston & Daughter [VIDEO]
It was only a matter of time before one of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s close ones spoke out about a controversial book that makes shocking claims about the 22-year-old and her mother.
Famous author Ian Halperin penned the book called Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price Of Fame. He wrote that Brown was suicidal and addicted to drugs at just 14 years old; and that she and Houston’s relationship was a dangerous one as Brown once tried to stab Houston with a knife before putting the weapon on her own wrists.
Now, Brown’s outspoken cousin Jerod Brown, has taken to his Facebook to shut down the reports.
New Book Claims Bobbi Kristina Brown Was ‘Addicted To Drugs’ & ‘Suicidal’ At 14-Years-Old
He posted a snapshot of the cover art before calling out the author Tuesday night.
“Ian Halperin, I personally find you to be very disrespectful to even consider to release an unauthorized book about my sis at a time like this.”
He went on to send out a message to all of Bobbi Kristina and Houston’s fans.
“I encourage the public not to take part of supporting this mess. Bobbi Kristina has dealt with enough as is, and bashing her/her parents, is totally unacceptable. #BrownFamily Continue to #PrayforBK”.
Bobbi Kristina, who is the only child of Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown, was found unconscious in bathtub of her Roswell, Ga. home on Jan.31. She hasn’t managed to get stability after being put in a medically induced coma for about three months. She is now in a rehab treatment center. It has been said that she has “irreversible brain damage.”
