CMT Music Awards 2015: Everything You Need To Know To Know About Tonight's Big Show [VIDEO]
The CMT Music Awards are mere hours away, and fans of country music are sure to be in for an exciting night of amazing performances, big wins, and tons of fun with some of country music's biggest names.
Here's a Full List of CMT Music Awards Nominees
The big show, airing on CMT starting at 8 p.m. will have some tight races, big moments, and some new surprises as several legends in country take the stage to perform, present, and of course, take home more prizes. In addition, the show will be hosted by Dancing with the Stars co-host Erin Andrews and Pitch Perfect 2 star Brittany Snow.
Here's everything you need to know about the big show:
Snow is REALLY Excited about hosting
Snow admitted to Entertainment Weekly that she's going to have to keep her fangirling in check while hosting, because she loves so many of the artists who will be at the show.
"When I looked at the list of people who are performing and who are going to be there, I'm just kind of overwhelmed, trying not to think about it--this is going to be a huge deal!" she said. "I can't fangirl too much, or else I'll never be able to say anything. But Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, of course Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line--I'm so excited about meeting them. I think they put on a really great show. Darius Rucker has been a favorite of mine for so long. He basically was the music behind so many years of my life listening to country music. I can't pick a favorite because then when I meet them, I'm going to be like, 'I love you all.'"
Keith Urban Will Debut A New Song
Urban will be debuting the highly anticipated first look at his follow-up project to his 2013 Fuse album, with the song John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16. The song was released to radio station June 9 and is available for digital downloads now, but this will be his first live performance of the song.
Carrie Underwood Could Be In For A Big Night
Not only will this be Underwood's first TV performance since giving birth in February, but she has a chance at winning Video of the Year for the second time in a row, with two nominations in the category for her collab with Miranda Lambert, Something' Bad, as well as her song Something in the Water.
There Are A Lot Of Highly Anticipated Performances
Reba McEntire is set to be giving her first CMT Awards performance in 10 years, while Lady Antebellum plans to team up with Zedd for an 'unprecedented EDM/Country collaboration.' Snow and Andrews also teased a True Lies reunion between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold, a twerk-free Wrecking Ball performance by Eric Church, a musical salute to the mullet by Billy Ray Cyrus and Joe Dirt, and a ten-minute tribute that shows what they have in common with Justin Bieber, Steven Tyler, Kristen Bell, Hunter Hayes, Zedd, Alan Jackson, Rick Springfield and James Cordon.
The CMT Awards air tonight at 8 p.m. on CMT.
