But it seems like fans might be gifted more than that, if recent rumors are to be believed. A new International Business Times report flirts with the possibility of Oliver and Felicity making their love official by tying the knot in season 4. The report feeds off of fan fiction, wherein fans have stated their hopes and wishes for the next chapter of the show and the couple.

It could be very likely that this takes place if there is enough fan demand. The fact that Oliver and Felicity were brought together despite all the craziness that ensued in between means that the creators of the series were keenly listening to their fans and gave them what they wanted.

But of what is officially known so far about the fate of this relationship, there will be plenty bumps on the road. Rickards recently spoke about what the future might hold for the couple in an interview.

Speaking to TV Guide, the actress suggested that it won't be a fairytale romance going forward, and that both of them will not be able to easily shed their past as vigilantes.

"What I think is so interesting is that once you help people and have served justice for so long, is that it might become an addiction to a certain extent," she said. "It's one thing to go and be happy and sit on an island, but you want to still be doing important work. So I don't know what that's going to be for them. They're going to have a balance of that and hopefully in their relationship as well."

The announcement of Arrow's renewal for a fourth season was made earlier this month.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
