Just when things were going very well for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, things are about to get a little messy for them. There's a new report that says the couple have been subpoenaed in their "disgruntled" producer's forgery lawsuit.

According to In Touch Weekly on Friday, the Hollywood couple has been ordered to appear in a California courtroom in connection with a malpractice suit that was filed against their production company. Denny JR O'Neil and Charles Malcom are suing the couple's Life In A Bowl production company, claiming that they stole an idea for a wedding show.

The site also says that the producers were allegedly "forced to sign their contract under duress," after an agreement was made back in 2013. O'Neil and Malcom also claim that Spelling's signature might have been forged in their agreement after her signature was analyzed by an expert.

So far, neither Spelling nor McDermott or their team of lawyers have made any comments about the lawsuit.

Despite the issue, things still seem to be going very well for Spelling and McDermott on the homefront.

According to People Magazine last Wednesday, McDermott opened up about the couple's personal life during an interview at Disney's Inside Out premiere in Los Angeles.

He said, "Things are a work in progress, but the family is quite happy right now. They are in a good place. The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you've come."'
