'The Good Wife' Season 7 Spoilers: Peter Might Run For President In Next Chapter [VIDEO]
CBS recently teased season 7 of The Good Wife with a slideshow on its website, titled 'Why Everything You Know Might Be Changing About The Good Wife.'
Elsbeth Set To Return In Season 7
One question loomed large in this post 'Will Peter run for President?' After some heavy consternation, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) told Peter (Chris Noth) that she disapproved of his running for possible candidacy for Presidency. The kids seemed to be on board, and so far Peter had help up that he would only go ahead with this ambitious plan if he had the support of his family including Alicia. In the finale Alicia put her foot down and said she was not on board. Perhaps she feared the intense scrutiny and mud slinging that would come with campaign, something she has suffered twice over now.
In the CBS post, the answer to the question is left pretty open ended and it seems to hint at the fact that Peter could very much disregard Alicia's opinion and go ahead with his prospective candidacy anyway:

"Alicia just went through one political hurricane, and she's not about to put her family through another. Peter says he'll walk away if Alicia wants him to, but something tells us this conversation isn't over yet..."
Recently, CBS also finally revealed when season 7 of The Good Wife will be back on our screens.
The next chapter of the legal drama is set to premiere on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. The stage for the next phase of Alicia's career is set to drastically change.
The finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?' aired on CBS on May 10.
