WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD. IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE SEASON FIVE FINALE OF 'GAME OF THRONES' DO NOT PROCEED

By now, fans who have seen the season five finale of Game of Thrones may have begun to digest what they saw in what was quite possibly the bloodiest and most shocking end to a season the show has had yet.

A Stark Dies In The 'Game of Thrones' Season Five Finale--But Which One?

The episode ramped things up on all of the storylines which played out over the season, all on fairly slow burns. Not only did every storyline get screen time, but they all also seemed to come to shocking--and not quite resolved ends.

And while the storylines surrounding Stannis (Stephen DIllane), Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) were intriguing--they were nowhere near as shocking or surprising as the ones their fellow Westerosi contended with. These five moments were by far the most jaw-dropping reveals during the show's finale:

Jon Snow's Death

Et tu, Ollie? Besides the ending to George R.R. Martin's last book which hinted at this possibility, the fact that Jon (Kit Harrington) and Sam (John Bradley) had a genuine heart-to-heart before Sam's departure for the Citadel should have tipped us off that one of them was due a grim end--and it was in fact Jon. After Ollie (Brenock O'Connor)tricked Jon into leaving the Lord Commander's quarters for news on his long-missing Uncle Benjen, Jon was repeatedly stabbed by his brothers on the Night's Watch. Ollie delivered the final blow, and he was left bleeding out in the snow, directly under a sign reading 'traitor.'

And though fans have already started spouting off theories that Jon isn't actually dead, Harrington himself has insisted the character is gone, saying he wouldn't be back next season.

Arya's Unexpected Fate

Arys finally got to cross another name off her kill list by using one of the faces from the House of Black and White, sneaking into the brother Sir Meryn was torturing little girls in, and blinded him and murdered him. However, she wasn't as stealthy as she thought--and may not be blind because of some twist of fate at the hands of Jaqen H'ghar (Tom Wlaschiha).

Cersei's Literally Painful Walk Of Atonement

Following the symbolic means of punishment used in the past, Cersei (Lena Headey) was forced to do a walk of atonement after confessing to her adultery with Lancel. Not only was the long scene, which saw her walking naked through the streets of King's Landing while her Septa chanted 'Shame' behind her the entire way, painful to watch--but it was literally a moment a painful reckoning for a newly stripped Cersei as well. Not only did the walk cause her physical disfigurement with her feet, but it also showed her how much she isn't loved in the city after all--as her subjects throw revolting things at her, including feces, and spit on her during her painful walk.

Theon Gets Back His Figurative Anatomy & Frees Sansa From The Boltons

Being forced to watch Sansa (Sophie Turner) be brutally raped by her husband Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) may have finally caused something to snap inside of Reek--and bring Theon's (Alfie Allen) return to the fold. After Sansa tried to save herself, she was confronted by Reek and Myranda (Charlotte Hope). Myranda taunted Sansa about her eventual fate and prepared to injure her with a bow and arrow--when Theon finally broke free of the Reek persona Ramsay inflicted on him, pushed Myranda to her gruesome death, grabbed Sansa, and the two jumped from the top of the castle. Hopefully, they didn't meet gruesome ends--or the Boltons--following their death-defying leap.

Myrcella & Jamie's Big Moment Leaving Dorne

It seemed like there would be a happy ending to the Dorne storyline, as Jamie (Nikolas Coster-Waldeau) left the faraway city with his daughter, Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free), and her intended, Prince Trystane (Toby Sebastien) in tow. During their journey back, Jamie and Myrcella had a touching father-daughter moment, their first ever, after she admits she's always known the truth about him and Cersei--only for the young girl to then collapse in her father's arms after being poisoned to death by Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma).

Now of course, to find out what all of these moments might mean in season 6 of the series, fans will be forced to wait--that is, if they truly ever can remove their jaws from the floor in shock.
