A Destiny developer diary for the newly-announced expansion The Taken King gives fans the deepest look yet into the coming content.

The video below features eight minutes of gameplay footage from The Taken King and commentary from the development team, providing the first real insights into Destiny's biggest add-on content yet.

The Dark Below and House of Wolves expansions--available together for $35 with the pass--will apparently seem small in comparison to The Taken King, which launches Sept. 15, 2015 for $39.99.

Total War Video Celebrates 15 Years Of The Strategy Series

The video goes into detail about the three new subclasses for each Guardian type, including the new Super abilities available to each. Hunters are getting the Nightstalker subclass, a support class complete with a Void damage bow and arrow--both of which were lacking in existing subclasses. Warlocks are getting the Stormcaller class, which allows them to send out bolts of Arc damage as they float around the map in god-like fashion. Finally, Titans are getting the Sunbreaker subclass, complete with a flaming Solar hammer than can be used for melee or thrown for range.

All of the new Supers look pretty cool, and you'll be able to put them to work in all-new environments. Destiny will finally be getting some fresh locations, including Orxy's dreadnought in the sky. There's plenty of footage of the new locations and Bungie's focus on level design, so check out the video below to learn more about where you'll be headed.
