NCIS wrapped shooting its twelfth season at the very end of April/the beginning of May and it finished airing in mid-May.

Will Gibbs Survive His Gun Shot Wounds & Be Part Of 'NCIS' Season 13?

Since then the cast has been on hiatus from set, which means they can go on vacations and perhaps over-indulgence and put on a little weight, which is apparently what Michael Weatherly opted for.

The actor who portrays Tony DiNozzo on the procedural series revealed on Twitter Tuesday that in just a month's time he and his costars would be back to life on set to begin shooting Season 13.

He also revealed he has 15 pounds he needs to drop.

"The look of a man with a month left on his hiatus and 15 lbs to lose..." he shared with a photo of himself wearing some athletic attire since he is most likely at the gym especially given what looks like a row of lockers in the background.

The actor has a look of determination on his face so the 15 pounds should be easy to drop although Weatherly does not look like he gained weight since the twelfth season's finale aired on May 12.

Despite him saying he needs to lose 15 pounds, perhaps he just needs to build his stamina again since his character has been known to chase down suspects that try to run away from him and his fellow NCIS agents.

NCIS returns to CBS in the fall on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
