Nicole Kidman on Tom Cruise Split: 'It took me a very long time to heal'
Nicole Kidman says that it took her a "very long time" to heal from ex-husband's Tom Cruise breakup, according to the new issue of DuJour Magazine.
The Australian actress who was married to Tom Cruise for 10 years until 2001, opened up about her relationship with Cruise, how madly in love she was with him and how painful the separation was. But she didn't go into details about the reasons for the breakup.
"I was totally smitten ... I fell madly, passionately in love," Kidman told DuJour of meeting Cruise. "I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him."
"We were in a bubble," sheadded, "just the two of us. We became very dependent on one another."
But looking back on it now, Kidman added, "I was so impulsive and naïve."
"It took me a very long time to heal. It was a shock to my system," she said of the divorce ..
Kidman married to country star Keith Urban in 2007 and has two kids with him, Sunday Rose, 4, and Faith, 1.
"I'm happier than I've ever been in my life," Kidman told the magazine.
