Now that the media storm following reports that said Josh Duggar sexually molested his younger sister when he was a teenager is just about over, Jill and Jessa are doing damage control for their family. Hoping to keep their names in the headlines, the sisters traveled to the Alive Festival in Ohio, where they opened up about the aftermath of their brother Josh's scandal.

According to People Magazine on Monday, Jill didn't necessarily defend her brother, but she did admit that her family "messes up" from time to time.

"Hey we're not a perfect family, we mess up," she told the crowd during a Q&A-style session on the festival's Beach stage. "Imagine what life is like with a family with two or three kids and multiply that about 10 times over and that's what you get."

Jill and Jessa traveled with their husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald to the festival. Dillard opened up about being a father, as the couple welcomed their son Israel David Dillard back in April.

He said, "I was actually the mascot in college, so at birthday events, events for little kids, I'd have kids climbing all over me and so I kind of felt the same way whenever I'd go over to the Duggars' house before we got married, when we were courting."

Dillard added, "It was kind of the same, but now ... you don't have a giant head on."
