Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry seem to be just as excited as their millions of fans about their epic return to BET’s The Game.

Hall announced the news at the BET Awards Sunday night and Mowry confirmed it via Instagram. Now Hall has opened up about coming back to the series after two seasons.

Hall told the Los Angeles Times recently, “Every day on social media, I’m asked, ‘When are you and Tia going back?’ We really owe this to the fans.”

It looks like the two are really doing the return for their loyal viewers as they both didn’t leave the show on the best terms. The network wanted to reduce them to recurring roles versus full-time. So they both opted out, bowed out gracefully and went on to pursue other projects. Hall now stars in Ray Donovan on Showtime and Mowry just landed her own cooking show and has a lead role in Nickelodeon’s new hit series Instant Mom.

Mowry confessed, “When I didn’t go back, I cried. I felt so connected to the character, and I wasn’t ready for her to end.”

Lauren London and Jay Ellis joined the show when they walked away from the show in 2012. While it was still successful, the ratings were never quite as high.

The show’s creator Mara Brock-Akil added, “Melanie and Derwin were the core of the show. We entered this world through them and spent so many stories exploring their ups and downs. But I also believe in the rest of the cast and the writers and producers, and the audience that stuck with us.”

Don’t miss 90-minute series finale on Aug. 5 on BET.
