Kim Kardashian Claims She Didn't Send Dresses To Kate Middleton
When Kim Kardashian visited London recently, she talked about her admiration for the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and, according to reports, the reality star even sent Middleton a few dresses from her fashion line.
But now Kardashian said she wasn't exactly as proactive in trying to get Middleton in the Kardashian Kollection as the reports have said.
Kardashian traveled to London last week with her sister Kourtney to promote the newest extension of the sisters' clothing line, Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins, which they created along with third sister Khloe.
The famous sisters held a highly attended launch party for the fashion line that drew hundreds of fans who lined up for hours, and a surprise appearance from Kim's longtime boyfriend Kanye West.
During the launch party, Kim spoke to reporters about an English woman who has become one of her personal style icons - Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kardashian said she admired Middleton's wardrobe and would love to see her wearing pieces from the Kardashian Kollection.
"We love her sense of fashion. She could wear our looks and team it with one of her hats," Kim said.
Then came reports that Kardashian sent Middleton several of her favorite dresses from the collection in hopes that the duchess will wear them in public.
"She hoped Kate might be seen wearing one of the designs out in public, which would give their fashion credentials a huge boost," a source said. "The Kardashians want to be as big in Britain as they are in America, and think associating themselves with the Royals, especially Kate, will help them achieve that."
But now Kim is denying that she sent any such package to the duchess. The reality star retweeted a fan who linked an E! News story denying that Kardashian sent dresses to Midleton. The fan wrote, "silly gossip blogs," to which Kim replied, "I know right!"
The E! story in question claimed Kim was too busy to send anything to Kate.
"Kim was working the whole time and though she admires Kate, she didn't reach out to her," a source said.
