‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Spoilers: Will Alaric Find Love Again In New Episodes? [VIDEO]
Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) has not had the best of luck in the romance department in Mystic Falls on The Vampire Diaries.
Will Caroline & Stefan Eventually Wind Up Together On 'The Vampire Diaries'?
Davis first began appearing on the series in its first season and his character was the love interest of Elena's (Nina Dobrev) aunt Jenna (Sara Canning). He also had a past relationship with Isobel Flemming (Mia Kirshner), but she left him, which is actually why he initially ended up in Mystic Falls.
He later dated Dr. Meredith Fell (Torrey DeVitto) and most recently was marrying Dr. Jo Laughlin (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), but Kai (Chris Wood) ruined it.
When Does Season 7 Of 'The Vampire Diaries' Start Airing?
So that leads to what will happen in the upcoming seventh season of The Vampire Diaries. According to TVLine on Tuesday, three new vampires will potentially wind up in Mystic Falls, which is probably partly due to the lack of Dobrev's character being around.
One of the vampires is supposedly named Valerie and she may find romance with Alaric and possibly even Matt (Zach Roerig).
Valerie comes from a rough past, but honestly what vampires in Mystic Falls don't? Somebody will help her through all the pain and allow her to remember happier times. That sounds like something Alaric would do. He has always been a kind soul despite his hatred of some vampires.
The other two vampires are apparently a lesbian couple, which would be the first same-sex couple in the show.
Nora and Mary Louise are apparently very hush-hush about their relationship. They've kept it hidden for over a century, yet anyone who gets close enough is aware of what's going on. They are pretty murderous though. If either is crossed, death will be knocking.
TVLine made it clear that this bit of casting information is only preliminary so these characters might not wind up in the seventh season.
Be sure to tune in starting this October for the seventh season of The Vampire Diaries on The CW at 8 p.m. ET.
