MC Hammer AMAs Performance of 'Gangnam Style' with Psy: 'I Loved Doing It' [VIDEO]
Legendary rapper MC Hammer said he "loved" performing at the 2012 American Music Awards with South Korean rapper Psy.
The audience was treated to a big surprise when Hammer took the stage with Psy on Sunday night to perform a remix of his 1990s hit "Too Legit to Quit" and Psy's "Gangnam Style."
The rappers put the audience to their feet with an energetic choreography. (Watch Below)
"Scooter Braun connected us, and [when] I spoke with Psy I knew right away that the is a good guy. I like working with good people...I loved doing it and we had a great time together," Hammer told CNN.
"Psy is fantastic. He's shifted the planet. He's got the whole world dancing. And it's a rarity in this world. Only four people made that happen in history - James Brown, Michael Jackson, yours truly and Psy," Hammer continued, according to CNN.
Hammer posted a photo of him and Psy together on his Twitter account following the show.
"Me and my man Psy after our AMA2012 performance tonight. #Epic," MC Hammer tweeted Sunday.
Psy said he wasn't nervous about performing with Hammer.
"Honestly, I practiced his move[s] 20 years ago. So I've done that for 20 years," he said, reports CNN.
Justin Bieber and Pink who also performed at the show, raved about Hammer and Psy's duet.
"THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS...ALL MY #BELIEBERS...WE ARE A FAMILY. TONIGHT WAS FOR ALL OF YOU. OUR AWARDS> THANK YOU> LOVE U...and HAMMER killed it. haha," tweeted Justin Bieber.
"And the award for best performance goes to....PSy and MC Hammer!!!! How much fun was that!?!?!?," wrote Pink on her Twitter.
Viewers echoed the sentiment with many saying it was the best part of the show.
"Thank you for giving us MC Hammer back and loved the combo of Gangnam & Hammer," wrote Facebook user Dana Nunamaker-Merritt.
"I love this guy and good for him to give Hammer some "Time"! Best ending of a show in years," Facebook user Samson Mirza wrote.
