The latest winner of The Voice is currently out in Los Angeles working on his major label debut, but he became ill earlier this week.

It seems as though the traveling, late nights writing and recording and overall lack of sleep caught up to the teen musician.
Sawyer Fredericks did reveal though late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning that he was feeling "a lot better."

'The Voice' Season 8 Winner Falls Ill Amid Trip To Los Angeles To Work On Album!
Then on Wednesday night into Thursday morning the teen musician shared some photos of a cat and revealed, "I am not a cat person."

Weird, right? Well, this cat apparently has made the 16-year-old's California trip "a little more interesting." It seems as though perhaps Fredericks found the cat and took it in so it wouldn't be out on the streets. The cat is totally adorable and by the looks of it super playful.

The cat and Fredericks seem to have formed a bond as it appears to be resting on the teen's chest comfortably in another photo.

Fredericks definitely seems like a cat person now.
The Voice will return to NBC in the fall for its ninth season.
