Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez At AMA Afterparty: Pair Spotted Locking Arms [PHOTO]
Justin Bieber took his mother as his date to the American Music Awards and Selena Gomez did not attend the event at all.
However, the two singers, who were rumored to have broken up last week, were seen locking hands at an AMA afterparty on Sunday night.
Bieber, 18, and Gomez, 20, did not look like they just broke up- Gomez was holding on to the "Boyfriend" singer's arm as they were photographed talking to his mother Pattie Mallette at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles. Bieber wore the same outfit he wore earlier that night to the AMAs while Gomez was dressed more casually. Yahoo reported that they came to the party together and later went back to Gomez's L.A. home.
Jenny McCarthy - who playfully kissed Bieber during the AMAs when he went on stage to receive one of his awards - was also at the party and posted her sighting on Twitter: "My cub @justinbeiber brought his acceptable and beautifully aged beauty Selena to the AMA after party. Guess I'm back on the prowl. Rww!"
On Friday, Gomez went to dinner with Bieber in Los Angeles and the night reportedly ended in a bad way.
They couple met up at Yamato restaurant but got into an argument almost immediately, an onlooker told People. They left separately within minutes after arriving and Gomez looked "visibly mad." TMZ then noted that the "Beauty and a Beat" singer followed Gomez back to her home, but she refused to let him through the gate entrance, forcing him to ultimately leave. They also posted pictures of an angry-looking Bieber standing outside of Gomez's gate.
Then on Saturday, Gomez had a girl's night with fellow singer and good friend Taylor Swift.
Bieber won big at the AMAs on Sunday night. He took home the first award of the night, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, and the last award, which also happened to be the highly coveted Artist of the Year honor. In the later, he went up against Drake, Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Rihanna. Bieber now has a total of seven awards from the AMAs over the span of his career. See a list of all the winners here.
