Jennifer Aniston Wedding: Fiance Justin Theroux Invites Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie
Jennifer Aniston and fiance Justin Theroux are busy planning their upcoming wedding ceremony after getting engaged this summer, but a new report says there will be two surprising additions to the guest list.
As the couple works to decide who will be invited to their nuptials, Theroux shocked Aniston when he suggested they invite none other than her ex husband Brad Pitt and his fiance, Angelina Jolie, according to a report in the British magazine Grazia.
The decision was made partly because Theroux feels it would be a great way to clear the air of any animosity before the couple joins together for life in a wedding ceremony, a source told the magazine.
"Justin and Jennifer are so happy right now, they don't want any bad feeling in any aspect of their lives by the time they tie the knot," the source said.
The Huffington Post also reported the story, adding that Aniston was incredibly surprised when Theroux made the suggestion. The actor and writer has met Pitt on several occasions and had no qualms about Aniston's ex being at the ceremony.
"Justin knows that Jen and Brad talk occasionally and he likes the actor [the pair have met a few times]. Obviously, this means inviting Angelina too. Jennifer was taken aback, as she really didn't think Justin would want her ex-husband there, but she loves the fact he's so OK about it," the insider said.
Another recent wedding-related report claimed Aniston and Pitt were arguing over which of them would invite George Clooney to their individual wedding, since both Aniston and Pitt knew Clooney separately before they married and divorced.
"With Jen now engaged to Justin Theroux and Brad to Angelina Jolie, both betrothed couples are trying to persuade George to attend their wedding - and not the other's," the source said.
But despite the reported disagreement between Aniston and Pitt, the source added that Clooney would be happy to attend neither ceremony.
"Jen and Brad are fighting over George like children. If George had his way, he'd skip both," the insider said. "The truth is, he doesn't even believe in the institution of marriage, and he finds the ceremonies terribly boring."
