On Saturday, Symone posted a photo of the American flag with a quote that reads, "AMERICA LAND OF THE FREE Some terms and conditions may apply."

Symone mentioned that she found this from her sister, but she still seems to stand by it nonetheless.

In the past year, Symone has made some statements that caused the public to either take her side or bash her completely. In an interview on Oprah: Where Are They Now, she mentioned that she doesn't consider herself as "African American," but just as "American."
When she was on The View earlier this year, she responded to the incident when Univision host Rodner Figueroa compared First Lady Michelle Obama to the cast of Planet of the Apes. The ladies at the table discussed this moment when Rosie Perez claimed that Figueroa's comment was racist, but Symone disagreed; she didn't think his comment was nice, but she also didn't find it racist. She then took to Twitter to clear up what she meant by this.
