The Newmans and Abbotts are usually at each other's throats, but it looks like certain situations will make immediate family turn on each other too in the episode airing today, July 6.

'The Young and the Restless' Will Soon Drop An Identity Revealing Bomb!

During today's episode, Gabriel/Adam (Justin Hartley) will begin making changes with the company since taking over from Victor (Eric Braeden).

Neil (Kristoff St. John) will be quitting the company. In the sneak peek video below he tells Gabriel/Adam, "I ain't waiting around for a life-preserver to save my a--. I quit."

Will A Star From 'The Young and the Restless' Exit From The Soap In A Shocking Way?

Neil is very serious about his stance now with Gabriel/Adam in charge as he suggests the others quit too according to Soaps.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will learn once they meet up with Gabriel/Adam that their roles in the company are changing. He will give Abby the title, COO, which was Victoria's, causing friction between them.

Abby will not believe she has the qualifications for the position, but Gabriel/Adam will insist she does, which will irritate Victoria to the point where she'll comment on how this situation is a joke, which will in turn offend Abby.

The half-sisters usually get along fairly well, but this appears to be dividing them.

That's not the only thing rocking the Newman family though. Nick (Joshua Morrow) will act like Victor, which is something he usually would dread, but it comes naturally, which Gabriel/Adam will point out. This along with Gabriel/Adam's need to seek some sort of revenge on Victor for shooting Jack (Peter Bergman) will make Nick question who he is even more.

That's not all that's happening though in Genoa City. Sharon (Sharon Case) will come in contact with Joe (Scott Elrod) in the park, which will lead to her threatening him.

"Stay back, I mean it. One more step and you're getting a face full of mace," she declares as Joe walks toward her.

He'll insist he didn't hurt Avery (Jessica Collins) and speaking of Avery, she will confess to Lily (Christel Khalil) that Paul (Doug Davidson) is aware of her infidelity.

"Paul knows I cheated on Cane [Daniel Goddard]? Why would you tell him that?" Lily asks before Avery breaks down about Joe raping her.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
