The two met while filming The Last Song and soon began dating, which eventually turned into an on-and-off relationship. It eventually led to an engagement announcement in 2012, but they called off their romance in September 2013.
They each have dated others since ending their relationship and they even seem to still take interest in each other. Back in December, reports surfaced that Hemsworth was concerned about Cyrus dating Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Well, now it seems like Hemsworth is getting pretty serious with his latest female costar Maika Monroe. They're currently working on the set of Independence Day: Resurgence.
On Wednesday Us Weekly reported the costars were very touchy-feely at a 4th of July party.
"His hand was on her butt as she was grinding into him and they were making out at the bar," a source dished, adding, "Liam was draped all over her. It was so PDA and in-your-face!"
This seems plausible since Monroe has shared an image on her Instagram recently in a warm embrace with Hemsworth. Okay, they aren't alone in the embrace, but she is leaning toward him. Body language says a lot!

Hemsworth's ex is totally cool with this. According to Hollywood Life on Wednesday, Cyrus wants to give Hemsworth a high-five since Monroe is a looker.
"Miley heard about them hooking up and she has no problem with it. She thinks Maika's hot - she's like, 'High-five, Liam!' And Miley's busy with Stella right now, so she's not worrying about it," a source explained.
