Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry was released from jail following his arrest after a violent fight at the actress' house on Thanksgiving Day.

After being hospitalized, Aubry was released on $20,000 bail. He was charged with misdemeanor battery and is set to appear in court Dec. 13, according to online jail records.

"The investigation is ongoing" a commander of the Los Angeles Police Department told Us Weekly on Thursday. "The cause of the fight between the two men is unknown."

Thursday morning, Aubry, 36 came to Berry's house to drop off their 4-year-old daughter Nahla for a custodial hand-off, according to TMZ and other media reports.

Aubry reportedly exploded when Berry's current fiance Olivier Martinez, 46 told him "We have to move on," and then pushed Olivier and threw a punch at his face, according to TMZ.

Aubry reportedly pushed Olivier to the ground and a struggle occurred. TMZ reports that it ended with Olivier pinning Aubry to the ground.

Aubry suffered a broken rib, contusions on his face and a head injury. Olivier suffered a broken hand and neck injuries, according to several reports.

Both were hospitalized, TMZ reports.

Berry and Aubry are involved in a tough custody battle. Earlier November a judge ruled that the Oscar winning actress could not move to France full-time with Nahla.

Berry and Aubry split in April 2010. She is engaged to the French heartthrob since late 2011.
