According to new report, the model and sometimes Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was recently targeted by a stalker, who managed to get past the 24-hour security team in her building. Although the 35-year-old man, Marcell Porter, was eventually arrested, Hadid quickly put her home on the market.
“She was scared,’’ a member of law-enforcement told the New York Post on Monday. “He’s very delusional. He was muttering to himself in the precinct. He was saying stuff like, ‘She needs me.’ He’d wait for her outside her building for long stretches of time.’’
During a past season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Hadid was seen moving to the Soho home with the help of her mother, Yolanda Foster, who has starred on the series since season three.
Accorinding to the New York Post, Porter, who is homeless, reportedly attempted to get into Hadid's apartment building five separate times between June 22 and June 29, the day of his arrest.
Once in custody, Porter reportedly told authorities, "When are you going to release me? I have to pick her up at the airport."
Before he broke in, Porter shared a message to Hadid with his friends on Facebook, which read, "I LOVE U. I KNOW EVERYTHING NOW. WAIT FOR ME SOULMATE. WHY CAN’T YOU CALL ME? I WILL TALK TO U IN PERSON ASAP. I LOVE YOU ONCE AGAIN.”
