At the Orphan Black presentation at Comic-Con San Diego, the show's co-creator Graeme Manson teased the possibility of Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) getting a new lover in season 4.

The two men in Sarah's life, who made for romantic interests, have both exited. Paul (Dylan Bruce) is affirmatively dead now and Cal (Michiel Huisman) has left the country, leaving Sarah with no romantic prospects at the end of season 3.

Manson told TVLine that they might consider working on things in that department for the next chapter.

Next Chapter To Be 'A Reset,' Have 'A Feel' Of Season 1

"She deserves a little [romance]," Manson said. "That's not a terrible idea."

As Bruce was present at the event with the rest of the cast and crew, many were quick to assume that his character might still be alive and would return in season 4. But Bruce sadly confirmed that Paul was actually dead and that there weren't any chances of his miraculous resuscitation. In fact he revealed that he was informed about his character's death last year. Entertainment Weekly caught Bruce's comments on the subject at the event. "I'm going out like a boss," the actor joked. The report goes on to reveal that he was genuinely sad about having to leave the series.

He even told TVLine that these appearances was him bidding adieu to Paul fans. "This is kind of my farewell tour," he said.

Nothing is known about the return of Huisman as Cal yet.

The finale of season 3 aired on June 20.
