Jessica Simpson Pregnant Again After Weight Loss 'Wasn't Planned,' Says Source
Singer Jessica Simpson is reportedly pregnant only seven months after giving birth to her first child and successfully losing 60 pounds.
"It definitely wasn't planned," a source told Us Weekly. "But yes, Jessica is pregnant again."
Simpson, 32, gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1 of this year with her fiance Eric Johnson. The "Fashion Star" mentor is reportedly "really overjoyed" over being pregnant a second time. However, Simpson's rep has yet to verify the news.
The singer and her fiancé, a professional football player, announced their engagement in November 2010.
"Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever expected," Simpson tweeted in May after giving birth to Maxwell Drew.
Last month, Simpson told Us Weekly she had lost all but 10 of the 70 pounds she gained while pregnant. She shed an astounding 60 pounds in five months thanks to Weight Watchers. Simpson shared her diet and weight loss tips, and her experience with her personal trainer Harley Pasternak. The singer-turned-fashion mogul was honest about the challenges in her struggle to lose weight.
"I feel positive about how I've done so far and really good about the goals I have set," she told the publication. "Most people can tell a difference every time they see me, which lets me know I'm making progress."
Simpson first flaunted her newly svelte body when she appeared on the debut of ABC's daytime talk show "Katie" in early September.
On Nov. 15, the singer tweeted a photo of herself on set of her upcoming Weight Watchers commercial, looking slender in an all-black outfit and sky-high heels. Two days later, she shocked partygoers in Tampa, Fl., on Saturday, Nov. 17, at an event for her Jessica Simpson Collection. She slim body stood out in a bright pink blazer and bootcut jeans for her public appearance.
