A still from the set of filming of the climax of episode 1 of season 11 of Criminal Minds was revealed on July 20.

NCIS Actor To Guest Star In Season 11 Of Criminal Minds

The behind-the-scenes image was posted on the CM_Set Report Twitter account for the CBS procedural:

The image shows that the scene takes place at nighttime in the outdoors. A car can be seen in the frame and what seems to be a bunch of the BAU officers.

The set report Twitter account and other pop culture websites have been updating fans with the progress of production, and as the filming of the episodes progresses, new information about them has been surfacing.

Recently, Criminal Minds Roundtable, a fan website, revealed the first page of the script for the episode, which gave away the title, The Witness. Images from the set of the episode were also unveiled -- from the outdoor location to the wardrobe for actors like Matthew Gray Gubler.

Previously a behind-the-scenes still from filming of season 11 of Criminal Minds might have revealed the first villain from the next chapter.

In the image -- posted via the Set_Report Twitter page of the show -- a ghoulish looking figure with his face painted white and black is seen. The indistinguishable actor playing the part is seen smiling while pulling a thumbs-up gesture. The picture, which was posted on the "CM_SetReport" Twitter account for the show, also drops a cryptic question:

"What's black and white and red all over?"

Previously, first stills from filming featuring Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi, and Kirsten Vangsness, who plays Penelope Garcia, on set were revealed.

Things seem to be moving swiftly with this chapter, the first table read for which took place on July 7.

Season 11 will premiere on Sept. 30.

The finale of Criminal Minds aired on May 6.
