On the very same day as Miranda's photo was shared, Simms' photo caused controversy online. Because he and his ex-wife, Leah Messer, have been on the outs for some time, and continue to feud over the custody of their twins, his hanging with Calvert appeared to be a dig at Messer -- especially since Calvert was with his new girlfriend.

After many fans reacted badly to the photo, Simms removed it and shared two additional tweet, which appeared to be in regard to his ongoing hardships with Messer, as well as the remainder of Teen Mom 2 season six.
