'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers: Could Jackie Chan Guest Star In Next Chapter? [VIDEO]
On July 22, a tweet on the official account for Criminal Minds mentioned action star Jackie Chan, and this has set our heads in tizzy.
The tweet is merely set to promote a re-run of episode 18 from season 10 of the CBS procedural, which sees Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) quoting Chan: "Coffee is a language in itself."
Chan has also been tagged in the tweet. If the showrunner and casting directors are listening, how about taking this association a huge step forward by getting the great Chan on board for one of the episodes in season 11 and have him spout his own quotes.
Showrunner Erica Messer has suggested in the past that they hope to bring interesting new guest stars in the next chapter in lieu of Jennifer Lovew Hewitt's exit after season 10.
Chan could really fit the role of a tough cop or investigator who tackles and roughs up criminals on the show.
The latest guest star addition that was recently made official was that of NCIS actress Marisol Nichols.
The report reveals that the actress will be portraying Agent Colburn, "a top agent at a Los Angeles outpost of the FBI." Nichols is the second addition to the cast. In June, CBS revealed that Aisha Tyler will be joining the cast as Dr. Tara Lewis a forensic psychologist who specializes in criminal cases.
Season 11 will premiere on Sept. 30.
The finale of Criminal Minds aired on May 6.
