'Wives And Girlfriends Of Sports' Show: All That Glitters Isn't Gold For The Cast In Explosive Sneak Peek For New E! Series [VIDEO]
Basketball Wives LA might be getting a run for their money as the sneak peek of E!’s latest series Wives & Girlfriends Of Sports Stars (WAGS) was just dropped and is already making waves on the Internet as it brings a new twist to the concept of women in relationships with athletes.
For starters, all of the women are indeed actual wives or girlfriends of athletes.Sasha Gates is wife to a 5-time All Pro Player of the San Diego Charges, her best friend Autumn Ajirotutu is married to Seyi Ajirotutu who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. WWE Diva Barbie Blank, who is Sheldon Souray’s fiancee also stars in the series along with Ashley North who has been dating Washington Redskins player Dashon Goldson for 11 years.
Larry English of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ girlfriend Nicole Williams will also be on the show with Natalie Halcro (who dates Shaun Phillips) and her cowsin Olivia Pieron. Both ladies make it clear they are only willing to date professional athletes.
In the trailer for the highly anticipated series, the ladies flaunt their “glamorous lifestyle” that they describe as “the dream world.”
They talk Instagram followers and being “selective” about the other women they are around. They point out that whenever they go somewhere, they have to remember they are also “representing” their boyfriend or husband.
And of course there’s more than enough drama to go around for the ladies as they make it clear their life isn’t as glitzy as it seems.
“You’re not always their number one priority. You have to be comfortable with that.”
North has an issue with Goldson as he’s not sure he wants to marry her after more than a decade of being together.
