Caitlyn Jenner is making a lot of changes these days, but she's staying rather quiet when it comes to her political affiliation. The transgender star - who is formerly known as Bruce Jenner - is being criticized for her ties with the Republican party.

According to VH1 on Friday, Rebulicans have failed to lend protection to the rights of the LGBT youth when the Senate failed to pass the Student Non-Discrimination Act-a bill that would have prohibited public schools from discriminating against any student on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

This of course has many fans wondering why Caitlyn Jenner hasn't urged her own party to help support the transgender community, not that she's one of its biggest stars and public figures.

The site wrote, "If there's any time for Jenner to take on that call to speak to GOP leaders, the time is now. Maybe she can influence the party, or perhaps, she'll do about as well as others have on influencing Republicans on their sensitivity to issues relating to race, sexual orientation, immigration, and reproductive rights. But if she can't, wouldn't it be time to leave?"

So far, Caitlyn herself has not made any comments regarding her public affiliation since her debut as a transgender woman.

Caitlyn's highly-acclaimed reality show, I Am Cait, debuts on the E! Network on Sunday, July 26th.
