'Empire' Season 2: Why Is 50 Cent Still Dissing Show? 'They Stole My Marketing' [VIDEO]
Rapper and TV executive 50 Cent made it clear he wasn’t a fan of Fox’s Empire since it premiered on Fox earlier this year. But after the series was dubbed an extreme success, he’s still throwing shade.

50 Cent is also creator and executive producer of the Starz series Power. He hasn’t held back from calling out Empire for copying not only Power’s marketing tactics but story lines. Well he made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live and is apparently singing the same song.
He told Andy Cohen on the Bravo show, “I like the show. I just don’t…They stole my marketing. [Their logo is] ‘Empires are built on power.’ Because it’s the first time in a long time that they’ve seen that programming hit it’s target audience. Then they came back with ‘Empire.’”

Still, he said he has lots of friends who work on the show like Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard and even his partner Timbaland who produces the hit music seen and heard on the juggernaut series.
“I like that it’s a success.”
Singer Dionne Warwick, who just celebrated the release of her 28th album, added that she’s a fan of Empire as well.
“Oh very much. It’s about music and record industry, of course I do.”
