The next episode of Beauty and the Beast is going to bring some very bad news for Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) and crew.

Catherine's Old Flame To Return In Season 4

The preview of the episode, titled 'Shotgun Wedding,' sets a very ominous tone and in the silences and sombre moments the vibe sent across is one of grave loss. While nothing is explicitly suggested, it seems like Vincent's (Jay Ryan) life is in fatal danger. The scenes of Vincent being sent out into threatening territory are interspersed with the wedding preparation for his and Catherine's wedding. There is this deep sense of foreboding about the preview that we just can't shake off, and makes us fear the worst. In one bit, J.T. (Austin Basis) and Catherine are seen stunned on the phone, it seems like they have been hit by some shocking news. Could Vincent come the closest he ever has to dying?

What makes us worry about Vincent's fate are reports from earlier that year that suggested that one of the main characters in the show was set to depart in season 3. E! Online reported that they have it from a good source that one of the prime characters will be in a life-and-death situation, and be admitted in the hospital. The report went on to state that it would not be Tess (Nina Lissandro). This leaves Catherine, Vincent and J.T.

Here's the official synopsis.

"Cat (Kristin Kreuk) is excited to finally walk down the aisle with Vincent (Jay Ryan), but can't help worry that the rash of superhuman experiments will ruin her destined moment. Vincent, JT (Austin Basis) and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) are determined to do anything they can to keep Cat focused on her big day before all hell breaks loose. Nicole Gale Anderson also stars. Stuart Gillard directed the episode written by Brad Kern and Anthony Epling ."

The episode will air on the CW July 30.
