The Dallas Cowboys (5-6) will look to reach the .500-mark when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles (3-8) in "Sunday Night Football" action.

While the Cowboys are clearly having a disappointing season, the situation on the Eagles' side is severally worst. Both NFC East football clubs have been plagued with injuries. However, Philadelphia is on the verge of its longest losing streak in the last 44 years.

Despite Dallas' 2012-2013 woes, the team still remains tied with the Washington Redskins behind the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants, who hold a two-point lead.

"I knew that we were in a league that has a lot of competition, but I thought we'd be better, owner Jerry Jones told ESPN.

Fortunately for Jones, there is a possibility that the Cowboys can land a wild-card spot assuming they play better, as the NFC leader currently sports a 6-5 record.

For the Eagles, the future isn't nearly as opportunistic, as the club lost its seventh consecutive matchup, which is the worst span under coach Andy Reid's leadership.

"I'm coaching to get ready to go after the Cowboys. That's what I'm coaching to do and I don't go beyond that," said Reid.

To make matters worst for the longtime Eagles coach, he'll once again be without the services of LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick. Vick has been out the last two games due to a concussion while Jackson is currently on injured reserve after suffering multiple rib fractures.

With Vick on the shelf, rookie Nike Foles will more than likely get the call at quarterback for the third straight week. In his three appearances since taking over for Vick, Foles has passed for 542 yards along with a touchdown and three interceptions.
