Recent reports have been speculating the death of Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) in season 4 of House of Cards.

While Kelly hasn't given away anything about his character arc in the next chapter he did suggest that anything was possible on the show. In an interview with the Inquisitr, the actor revealed that showrunner Beau Willimon was anything but predictable.

"I was alive at the end of three, that's all I can say. I wouldn't be surprised if Beau was behind my bedroom door right now. I put nothing past him," he said.

While miraculous resuscitations are possible, Kelly is also aware of the dispensability of key characters on the show.

Breathecast sourced another quote from Kelly in an interview with Deadline wherein he suggested that his character would always be vulnerable.

"It's House of Cards, right? They do not hesitate to kill great characters," he said.

A MasterHerald report also suggests Stamper being killed off might be what Kelly hinted at in these interviews.

Many fans has assumed that Stamper was dead at the end of season 2 but the character was alive and kicking in season 3.

In other related news a lot of the focus of season 4 will be on Claire (Robin Wright) and Frank's (Kevin Spacey) marriage breaking up. There has also been heavy speculation about Claire embarking on a full-fledged campaign against Frank, and do everything to bring him down.

Season 4 is set to return in 2016.
