The next edition of "The X Factor USA" will pack a punch thanks to the added star power set to appear. Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, will.i.am of Blacked Eyed Peas' fame and Marc Anthony will guest mentor the remaining 60 contestants. The stars will appear with the hopefuls at all four of the judges' homes and their expertise will help the judges narrow down to the final 24 contestants.

The most memorable part of episode 5 on "The X Factor USA" was a surprise appearance by a legendary rock star that has always had the "x factor" of his own.Gene Simmons, the most famous member of the iconic 70's rock band KISS, attended "The X Factor USA" season 2 auditions in San Francisco to support his daughter, Sophie Tweed-Simmons. Tweed-Simmons told the show's cameras in the pre-audition tape she had hoped the judges wouldn't learn who her parents are because wanted to be her "own person." Despite the declaration, the 19-year-old confirmed who her dad is unexpectedly.

'X Factor' producer Simon Cowell has reportedly told Spears to clean up her look. Britney Spears unveiled a bold new look this weekend. The singer and "X Factor" judge turned up at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, and her blonde locks were accented with vibrant blue, teal and hot pink tips.

On the third episode of season 3, which aired on Wednesday, Sept. 19, Spears sang "Happy Birthday" live on camera to fellow judge L.A. Reid.
