'Reign' Season 3 Spoilers: Actress Dishes On Playing Queen Elizabeth & Her 'Insecurities' [VIDEO]
As Queen Elizabeth enters the nation of Reign, she might have to make sacrifices with her power.
On Monday, a video of Rachel Skarsten (Elizabeth) was released as she talked about playing one of the most iconic historical figures to exist. The actress mentioned that there's been hype over her, which made her feel a bit of pressure during the first read-through.
"There has definitely been an anticipation for the character," Skarsten said. "They would keep mentioning Elizabeth and bringing her up and making reference towards her."

The actress then dished on what she's looking forward to in playing Elizabeth, which comes with pride as well as weakness.
"I'm looking forward to sort of playing not only her strength, but also her insecurities," Skarsten said. "Elizabeth especially has arguably one of the most powerful nations in the world and viewed as somewhat illegitimate felt incredible insecurity about keeping her place."
The video below shows Skarsten in character as she talks to Catherine about working together to take Mary down. Based on Elizabeth's presence, she definitely seems like the type who is not afraid of a challenge even if it goes as far as causing destruction on another leader. Depending on how planning goes, she might become the new woman in charge.
Reign Season 3 premieres on Friday, October 9 on The CW.
