'The Originals' Season 2 News: Prodcution Heads To New Orleans & Gives An 'Authentic' Feel To 'Rad' New Episodes Of The CW Drama [VIDEO]
Last year The CW set the tone for The Originals by having the show take place in New Orleans and on Thursday director Matt Hastings assured fans that the drama will not be losing that as it heads into season two this fall. In fact, the show will be filming some episodes on location in New Orleans.

While The Originals takes place in Louisiana's iconic city, the series itself usually films in Atlanta, Ga. On Wednesday, however, actress Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) confirmed that they were headed to New Orleans for some "authentic" shooting.
But good news is 1. That means beautiful authentic Nola scenes! & 2. We've already shot 8 rad new episodes for y'all xx — Phoebe Tonkin (@1PhoebeJTonkin) September 10, 2014
Filming in New Orleans will probably be a pleasant change for Tonkin, who spent much of last week filming out in the Atlanta swamp for a scene in episode 206. With Hayley on a warpath after losing her child and becoming a hybrid, there's no telling what the unhinged mother will do. Declaring that she's gone from "mother" to "monster" in the latest trailer (featured below), things won't be easy for Hayley and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) as the battle for New Orleans begins.
The Originals returns to The CW for a second season on a new night Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
