Comedian Will Ferrell attacked a cheerleader with a basketball at the New Orleans Pelicans game Wednesday night and while fans may be concerned, there is no need to worry.

Ferrell appeared at the Lakers vs. Pelicans game on Wednesday during halftime and was seen chucking a basketball at a cheerleader's face. However, the cheerleader is fine considering they were actually filming a scene for the new movie Daddy's Home.

Ferrell's character is apparently attempting to score a half-court shot and fails miserably as he hits a cheerleader in the face for the film. The scene concluded with security pretending to throw Ferrell out of the arena.

As described by IMDb, Daddy's Home has the following synopsis:

"When a divorced guy's ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc."

Other stars who are reported costarring with Ferrell on Daddy's Home are Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks, Mad Men) and comedian Hannibal Buress.

NOLA.com adds more details about the film, reporting that Ferrell is playing a "mild-mannered radio executive" who wants to be a great stepdad to his wife, played by Cardellini. Meanwhile, Wahlberg's character is that of the biological father who may not be so great of an influence on the kids. His character returns home and Ferrell's character is in competition with him for the kids' affection.

Daddy's Home will reportedly be released in 2015, though a specific release date has not yet been announced.
