George Zimmerman Shooting: Trayvon Martin Shooter Suffers Mild Injuries In Florida Attack, Details On Newest Legal Situation Here [VIDEO]
George Zimmerman is back in the news today after he was the victim of a shooting in Lake Mary, Florida.
According to WESH Orlando, Zimmerman suffered minor injuries in the shooting, which occurred a around 12:45 p.m. on Lake Mary Boulevard, where an unidentified man allegedly shot a bullet through a window, narrowly missing Zimmerman's head, which was sprayed with glass.
He has since been released from a hospital, his attorney, Don West said.
"He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn't being helped or nothing,"a witness told the television station. "They actually backed up the ambulance next to his driver side so he could walk into the door."
Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell said the shooting may have been related to an ongoing dispute between Zimmerman and another person.
This of course isn't the first time Zimmerman has been at the center of an issue that needed police involvement. He was previously put on trial and later acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin back in 2013. Later that year, he was arrested again after his girlfriend accused him of domestic abuse, though the charges were later dropped and the story was recanted.
Zimmerman made headlines once more back in September 2014, after another driver accused him of threatening to kill him while on the road in Lake Mary. He was also accused of assaulting his girlfriend for a second time earlier this year, though once again, the story was recanted.
