Nexus 10 vs. iPad Mini: Which Screen Display Features and OS Specs Are Better to Buy This Christmas?
With the holiday season nearing, people across the globe are thinking about what to get their friends and loved ones. There has been a huge demand for both the Nexus 10 and the iPad Mini, sparking many to wonder which would be the best to purchase this year.
The iPad Mini, 16GB Wi-Fi only version is retailing for a price of $329. In comparison the Samsung and Google Nexus, 16GB Wi-Fi only version is retailing for $399 – that is $70 more expensive that the Mini tablet, but $100 cheaper than the full sized iPad 4th generation 10 inch tablet.
So when shoppers are weighing the options they can purchase the 7.9 inch Apple iPad Mini for $329, or for just $70 more could opt for a full sized Nexus 10 inch tablet.
One major advantage the Nexus 10 has is the resolution, which not only beats the iPad Mini but also the iPad 4th generation full size tablet.
The iPad Mini has similar specs and resolution to the iPad 2, where as the Nexus 10 features a display with 2560 x 1600 resolution.
The Apple iPad Mini tablet has a resolution of 1024 x 768 – which is in fact better than many other 7 inch tablets on the market, but cannot compare to the full size iPad, nor the Nexus 10.
The amazing screen display on the Nexus 7 could tempt many shoppers this season. Although Apple does have the branding attraction – many people when comparing tablets would opt for an Apple product simply because it is an Apple.
The iPad Mini obviously runs Apple's iOS, where as the Nexus 10 runs on Google's Android operating system – which could be another main factor in shoppers deciding which device to get this Christmas. The two operating systems are fantastic in their own ways, but also very different – and if shoppers already have a preference for one or the other then that could seal the deal.
