Despite the Supreme Court ruling that denying same-sex couples the right to marry was unconstitutional and a federal judge ORDERING her to do it, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis has refused to provide a marriage license to the same gay couple for the third time in a row.

The protagonist of the thriller novel series that everyone was talking about five years ago (which were adapted into three solid Swedish films and one disappointing American remake) has returned in a new book, The Girl in the Spider's Web, that comes out on Sept. 1. Unlike the previous entries in series, the book is not penned by Salander's creator, Stieg Larsson, who died before he could see his novels became international bestsellers, so fans were a concerned that this new tale wouldn't hold up. But, based on the reviews, it seems all that worry was for naught.

In a publicity stunt that only hardcore fast food aficionados could love, Burger King appealed to longtime rival McDonald's, via full page ads in newspapers and the below online video, to join forces and combine both chains' signature burgers (the Big Mac and the Whooper) into one new unique burger (the "McWhooper") in recognition of World Peace Day.
